Can you believe it’s mid October already, where has the time gone? It’s harvest time at Rapture too. We are gathering up some great deals for you this month.

October is a great month for produce, especially if it is in-season. Fruits and vegetables that are in-season in October include apples, cranberries, honeydew melons, oranges, peaches, Bartlett pears, broccoli, Brussels sprouts, cauliflower and spinach. To keep heathy during the cold an flu season consider drinking more fruits and veges. A super yummy fall smoothie ingredients:

• 1 apple

• 1 cup fresh or frozen cranberries

• ½ frozen banana

• 1 teaspoon maple Syrup (optional)

• ½ cup almond or coconut milk

• 1 teaspoon chia seeds

• 1 teaspoon lemon juice

• A pinch ground cinnamon

• 1 avocado, peeled, seeded

• 1/4 honeydew melon, cut into about 10 (1-inch) cubes

• 1 bartlett pear

• 1 kiwi, peeled

• 1 cup baby spinach or kale

• 1 cup chopped green kale, stems removed

• 1/2 cup almond or will coconut milk
